I've been waiting to announce that 'Toward A Hybrid Joy' is out and about for a while now. It was available in ebook form, but it took a bit to become available as a physical paperback as it is a chonky big book.

Forgive me. I wanted to make the message simple.

So...

This time, our heroes are in the midst of an outbreak of rinderpest that eliminates most of Augston's cattle. This is a country that relies on butter and cheese for a chunk of everyone's protein, especially the peasants that make the place go; they are staring down famine and inflated food prices.

There is hope: Brynhild Von Meiser knows someone who can bring in a herd of her own, though they are yak-cow hybrids known as dzo and dre. Will these creatures survive the change in environment, and can the country restart their diet with their contributions?

More is riding on this question than the survival of the dairy industry: if the plan fails, Brynhild's greedy cousin-in-law Helmut can steal the port of Meiser and drain it dry the way he did his orchards and leave her and her little daughter in penury.

And then, someone plots against the poor hybrid yak-cows. Poisons them; directs wolves into their barn. Who would do such a dastardly thing?

Find out how Augston and the Wolfsburg family rise to the occasion in 'Toward A Hybrid Joy.'
