Every July and November, Smashwords, an ebook sales platform, puts on a massive sale. Books by indie authors go for shockingly cheap for the entire month, and I mean shockingly cheap. I got a mystery set in Hawaii called 'Pua Hana' for $1, and I got this great book about how song lyrics get changed over time called 'Yeterday's Songs Transformed: A Historical Tour of Song Rewriting' for about the same. It was a delight, and I was introduced to the Small Island mystery series just because it was on the list of discounted books.
Do you like supporting self-published authors but can't afford a big outlay of cash? Friend, some of these books are going for FREE! That's right, you can get interesting new ebooks in your personal epub and mobi collections for free-99. Others go for half-off or 75% off.
What I am saying is that if you are into cheap ebooks, by all means, check out Smashwords.
And, while you are at it, just as a note: 'A Wasted Death,' 'Foxes In The Royal Hen House,' and 'What Hides Below' will be included in the 75% off sale. They will be $3 or $3.75, I think.
