No Jung

So, there is probably a reason that such folks want to compare dragon gods across cultures and come to a universal symbolism that I am just not seeing.

Apep, the snake that fights Ra before dawn, may indeed represent darkness and chaos. He first appears going through the underworld and tangles in the primordial waters and opposing such mother-goddesses as Hathor.

But how does that make him any kin to Quetzalcoatl, whose literal bones were used to make humans and is generally credited with bringing them civilizing influences such as calendars?

These deities don’t represent the same thing. They only share a basic snake shape. 

Plus, they lost me at Jung. Quote Jung and you are dead to me.
