I have been struggling for years with what to do with my books. I want them to be in their best condition to be received in the world. I want people to enjoy them. Maybe even, and this is just my wildest dreams, get something out of them.

Making money from them would also be nice, although I absolutely loathe the idea of being 'supported as the local artist.'

Please, if you are going to read 'Seed of A Lord,' let it be because Brynhild the aristocratic girl running away from her family and finding a new one that she saves sounds interesting and fun to you. If you pick up 'A Wasted Death,' let it be because the idea of a pair of siblings investigating a mine collapse is a cool premise to you. Buy 'The Wolfsburg Adventures' because a series of stories about four clever people struggling to hold a bit of a kingdom together despite being in over their heads and not really volunteering for the position holds your interest.

Above all else, don't throw me pity pennies.

But how can I say any of that when seven of my books have covers that were just slapped together from what Amazon Kindle offers as part of the process for publishing?

That's seven book titles I will need to redo.

And maybe (well, definitely) tweak just smidge here and there some of the editing.

Because you can't know if you are going to enjoy a book unless you know that it exists and what its main idea is.
